1. Introduction
Chaser ("we", "us", "our") provides automated dunning and payment recovery software for SaaS businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and similar laws.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email address, organization, and authentication credentials.
- Billing data — limited payment metadata required to process your subscription. Card numbers are handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor and never stored on our servers.
- Customer recovery data — failed-payment records you import or stream from Stripe, including end-customer email, invoice totals, and recovery status.
- Usage data — log files, IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps to keep the service secure and reliable.
3. How we use your information
We use the data above to operate the Chaser platform, deliver dunning emails on your behalf, generate analytics, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and communicate product updates. We do not sell personal data.
4. Sharing and subprocessors
We share data with vetted subprocessors strictly to provide the service: Stripe (payments), our managed database and hosting provider, and our transactional email provider. Each subprocessor is bound by a Data Processing Agreement.
5. Data retention
We retain account data for the lifetime of your subscription plus 30 days, after which it is permanently deleted unless we are required to keep it for legal, tax, or security purposes.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email privacy@chaser.app and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is restricted via role-based controls, and we audit our infrastructure regularly.
8. Cookies
We use first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and a small amount of privacy-respecting analytics to improve the product.
9. Changes
We will post any material updates to this policy on this page and notify account owners by email.
